The Netherlands market is serviced by multiple Dutch-speaking customer service representatives. Although the Netherlands operates under the same policies and procedures as the United States, there are some points of difference for operating in this market: The Netherlands operates as Not For Resale (NFR) or Personal Use Only. This distinction means that Associates and Preferred Customers must buy USANA products directly from the Home Office and not through an Independent Associate. Orders can be placed through customer service channels, as noted above. Questions concerning this rule should be directed to distributor services. Although USANA’s policies state that Associates must retail a percentage of product stock, operations in the Netherlands are carried out differently. The retail requirement can be met through USANA’s Preferred Customer program. USANA encourages each Associate to acquire a sufficient number of Preferred Customers to satisfy USANA’s policy. Some may notice that prices in the Netherlands seem higher than prices in others countries where USANA operates. This difference is due to the addition of VAT and Duty, which is included in the pricing of products sold in the Netherlands. The difference adds approximately 26.5 percent to the product price, an addition that is not included in the prices listed in other countries’ pricelists because they pay taxes separately at the time of purchase. |
