What’s the difference?
You may be wondering what the difference is between a Premier PaceSetter and an “annual” PaceSetter. While the requirements are mostly the same—four or more new, personally sponsored Associates who activate 1 or 3 Business Centers and collectively generate 1,600 SVP to become a Platinum PaceSetter, or two or more new, personally sponsored Associates who activate 1 or 3 Business Centers and collectively generate 800 SVP to become a PaceSetter—there is one very important difference: You have eight weeks to achieve Premier status, which will last throughout your entire USANA career. You have 16 weeks to achieve “annual” status, which you will need to renew or requalify for every year during the eight weeks immediately following the anniversary of your enrollment date.
So you have to ask yourself one very important question: Do I want to qualify once and have the benefits last forever, or do I want to have to requalify year after year? The choice is yours.
- Example #1
Bob enrolls as a new Associate on a Tuesday and wants to become a Premier Platinum PaceSetter. He has eight Tuesdays (eight calendar weeks) for four or more new, personally sponsored Associates to activate 1 or 3 Business Centers and collectively generate at least 1,600 SVP (remember, it’s eight calendar weeks, not eight Fridays).
Bob’s four new, personally sponsored Associates collectively generate 1,850 SVP by the end of his second week. He now qualifies as a Premier Platinum PaceSetter, and his status will be finalized at the end of his eight-week Premier qualification window. If, however, Bob’s four new Associates don’t collectively generate 1,600 SVP until his sixth week, he must wait 31 days before his Premier Platinum PaceSetter status is finalized (since he must wait the greater of either 31 days, or the end of his eight-week Premier qualification window).
- Example #2
Jane is a new Associate who has two new, personally sponsored Associates activate 1 or 3 Business Centers and collectively generate 800 SVP during the ninth week after her enrollment. She qualifies as a PaceSetter, but not a Premier PaceSetter, since her two newly sponsored Associates did not join USANA until after Jane’s initial eight-week Premier PaceSetter qualification window. In order to maintain her PaceSetter status, Jane will need to requalify each year during the eight-week period following her enrollment date anniversary.
Beyond “Premier”
While Premier PaceSetters will enjoy a lifetime of benefits, they’re still missing out on all that USANA’s Matching Bonus incentive has to offer. If you are a Premier PaceSetter, you can increase your Matching Bonus earnings potential by qualifying for “annual” Platinum PaceSetter status.
Once you’re a Premier PaceSetter, you’ll always be a Premier PaceSetter. But each year, during the eight-week period immediately following your enrollment anniversary, you will have the opportunity to become an annual Platinum PaceSetter. And here’s the best part—you only have to do half the work! As a Premier PaceSetter, you can become an annual Platinum PaceSetter when two new, personally sponsored Associates activate 1 or 3 Business Centers and collectively generate 800 SVP.
Just remember, you will only be paid Matching Bonus based on your current qualified status. So even though you’ve sponsored two new Associates during your eight-week anniversary requalification period and you’re about to become an annual Platinum PaceSetter, you will receive Matching Bonus based on your current Premier PaceSetter status until your new annual status is finalized.
- Example #3
Maria has two new, personally sponsored Associates (activate 1 or 3 Business Centers and collectively generate 800 SVP) within the first four weeks following her initial enrollment. Once her status is finalized, she will be a Premier PaceSetter. However, Maria would like to increase her Matching Bonus earnings percentage. Even though she will be a Premier PaceSetter throughout her entire USANA career, Maria can become an annual Platinum PaceSetter by having two more new, personally sponsored Associates activate 1 or 3 Business Centers and collectively generate 800 SVP during the eight-week requalification period following her enrollment date anniversary. She will then remain an annual Platinum PaceSetter for an entire year. Once Maria’s enrollment anniversary arrives the following year, she will need to requalify by having two more new, personally sponsored Associates activate 1 or 3 Business Centers and collectively generate 800 SVP, or she will revert to her original Premier PaceSetter status and will no longer earn the “Platinum” Matching Bonus payout percentage.
